What’s the best way to build self-confidence?

I have been in the space of public speaking since I was 5, but one thing I lacked immensely was self confidence. The reason for the same was simple, just like you all I was also very conscious of my appearance. I still have a double chin, scanty hair in the crown region, dark eye circles and fluffy cheeks, which make my eyes seem to be closed, if I smile a little more.

Yes, not every individual is perfect and neither am I. Therefore, there have been times, when I suffered from immense lack of self confidence. It took a while, but I am still working on my self confidence.

One of the things that helped me improve my self confidence was, ignoring what others thought about me. IT began with a simple change. Prioritising myself over what other felt about me. Selecting my outfits based on how I am going to travel and where am I travelling to. That helped me prioritising my comfort over other’s thoughts about me .Sometimes self confidence is all about learning to comfort yourself before you step into the real world, that is how I increased my self confidence in the last few years.
